Find Shangri-La At Ojai Valley Inn & Spa

Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, just a little more than an hour from Los Angeles, is in the midst of a major renovation. And that's good news for bargain hunters. If you're willing to put up with a few signs of construction, you can get lower-than-normal rates until work is complete this summer. The spa itself is finished, and has a "village" feel (see the photo at right.) There are romantic new accommodations down by the spa, at the far end of the property, and cars have been banned to give Spa Ojai a quiet, peaceful feeling.
