All About Body Wraps
Sunday November 6, 2005
Spa menus can be confusing. Most people don't understand what a body treatment is -- or the difference between a body wrap , a body mask and a body scrub. (It gets even more bewildering when they start in with fancy names like a salt glow or body cocoon.) So I'm trying to demystify some of the terminology. Read more on body wraps -- what they are, the benefits and what to watch out for.

Body wraps can be a special treat that you give yourself at home also. There are recipes as well as do-it-yourself kits that you can order online. You will save money as well as be able to tailor your body wrap treatment to suit your needs.
I would just like to say that it’s upsetting that you write in your articles that estheticians just rub creams on the body and thats it. As an esthetician You study body wrap procedures for months. Not just any one can preform these. There is way more to that then “rubbing product on the skin”. Please do your reaserch befor stating facts. Estheticians are highly educated people who deserve a little more credit then that thank you very much.
..more credit than that. Oh, beauty school.
…so months of study equals highly educated. All this time I thought a graduate degree meant you were highly educated. Huh!?
At our spa we do a fabulous body wrap. It begins with a peppermint sugar scrub, followed by a luxurious shower. Next comes a marine extract product that is painted on the entire body. The client is bundled up in a heated blanket during this phase and enjoys a head and face massage. After the second shower, the client is massaged with a fragrant melted shea butter. The grand finale is a 10 minute massage with our electric hot rocks. The result? A smooth, detoxed, moisturized totally relaxed indivdual!
By the way, the body wrap that I described happens at http://www.alwayspretty.com, the name is Always Pretty Salon and Spa. 610-282-1888
