Four Seasons Scottsdale Getting an Update

Wednesday August 8, 2007
In the ultra-competitive spa market of Scottsdale, Arizona, you have to keep moving to keep up. Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North has a nice spa and special access to two of the country's legendary golf course. Now its 210 rooms and suites are getting updated. New custom furnishings in a color palette of purples, pinks and oranges will reflect the full bloom of the Sonoran Desert. Technological advancements include installation of wireless internet, flat screen televisions, MP3 player docking stations and electronic private bars.

The lobby, lobby lounge and Acacia restaurant are also getting upgrades. Acacia’s fireplace will be converted to an open fire pit that will be framed by glass to highlight the spectacular desert views, bringing together the indoor dining area and outdoor patio. A new private wine tasting room modeled after the communal tables of a Spanish tapas bar also will be added.

The 12,000 square foot spa that was state-of-the-art in 1999 is now relatively modest and intimate, located in the ground floor of the property. A brand new spa in a different building is being considered.
