Secrets of Eyebrow Shaping

Sunday October 28, 2007
A few years ago I started getting my eyebrows shaped by a professional. Then I decided to save money and have them do it for free at department store counters when I was buying new makeup. Big mistake! I woke up one morning and realized that my eyebrows had virtually disappeared on the sides. I stopped altogether and just let them grow in. For the first time in years I let someone touch my eyebrows at Eliza's Eyes, the brow sculpting salon run by Eliza Petrescu at Exhale Spa on the upper east side of Manhattan. Eliza's right hand man, Angela, gave me a clean shape and showed me how to make my thin, light brows look fuller and Eliza shared her secrets on eyebrow shaping and how to get the best brow shape for your face.

(1) Felicity says:

I had my eyebrows waxed by a professional esthetician and she took the skin right off with the hair on my eyebrows. My eyebrows are still patchy even after years of growing them out. The ironic thing is that I’m an esthetician myself. So to all the estheticians in the world, please be careful when shaping eyebrows. Sometimes, the hair never grows back. Expecially when you take the skin off with it. You have to be careful not to damage the hair follicles. Thank goodness there are people out there like Eliza that know what they are doing. For those that need some extra help, I found a free video clip on the internet they can watch called “Eyebrow Contouring & Facial Waxing”. You can find it at http://www.videoshelf.com/waxing.htm
Just scroll down and click on the link that says “video excerpt”
