Spa Experience at Grand Central Station

If you pass through Grand Central Station in New York City, keep an eye out for the "Spa Experience" October 31-Nov. 3, 2007, sponsored by Spa Finder, Inc. Fifty spas from around the world, including Tuscon's Miraval, Anguilla's CuisinArt Resort & Spa and India's Ayurmana Spa at Kumarakom Lake Resort, have exhibits where they give free mini-treatments. There are two demonstration stages where you can experience the latest spa treatments and products, and seminars led by experts in fitness, wellness, diet, beauty, and home spa design.

Four beauty companies have "Spa Retreat Centers," private areas where you can receive one of the companies' signature treatments, such as an Alpha Beta Face Peel from MD Skincare and make-up applications from Jane Iredale. Finally, restaurants and shops throughout the terminal are featuring spa-related specials, such as special menu items, book signings, and products. The four-day event is free to the public.
