Spas With Sensible Pricing
Monday December 1, 2008
I was home in Oklahoma for Thanksgiving, and went into a couple of spas in Tulsa to see what's happening. I was shocked at the prices -- $60 for a facial. That's so much lower than I'm used to seeing at resort spas, where $150 is the norm, and even day spas in major markets. Of course, everything is less expensive in Oklahoma, including the rent where the spas are located. But it made me wonder what would happen if spas lowered their prices a little. Would people get facials and massages more often? They seemed to be pretty busy.

are there any destination spas in oklahoma???
Shirley, There are not any true destination spas in Oklahoma, like a Canyon Ranch, but there are some interesting low cost options. You could stay at Medicine Park, a historic spa town next to a wildlife preserve, and get a massage at a private practitioner in the cute litte cobblestone village. Stardust Inn looks amazing. Also, Sulphur Springs is another historic spa town with a new small b and b type spa. I’ll do more research and post another blog. Anitra
