Easy Elegance at Jamaica's Round Hill Spa

This may sound surprising, but I thought I wasn't going to like Jamaican spas. I had heard too many stereotypes about the island that didn't reflect the complex reality of it.

But I was surprised by what I found -- a collection of unique properties and spas with caring therapists, a commitment to excellence, and completely different personalities.  One of my favorites was Round Hill Spa.

Though casually elegant, Round Hill is low-key and so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves lapping as you lie in bed. Wouldn't that be nice about now? I think one of my New Year's resolutions will be to go back to Jamaica. I guess that's why they say, "Once you go...you know." Happy New Year's, everyone!
