Seeking Comfort At A Spa

By , About.com GuideJuly 29, 2012

Follow me on:

My sister-in-law is hurting after the sudden loss of her husband to a stray bullet in a shooting at a Best Buyin Tulsa, Oklahoma. The cakes, cookies, and muffins came pouring in after her husband's death. We both packed on a few pounds and agreed we could have done without all the sugar.

Her mom gave her something she is really looking forward to -- a massage and facial at Ihloff Salon and Day Spa at Utica Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a lovely way to show someone that you care. Words may fail, but having your body tended to by caring spa professionals is one way to promote relief and healing from a traumatic experience.

I received a gift of a massage after my daughter died and I found it was just the therapy I needed. I continued to get monthly massages for a year after.

I’m now recovering from cancer and massages is one of my recovery therapies; I get them every week. Money will spent.
