The Benefits of Salt Therapy

By October 31, 2012

Follow me on:

salt therapySalt therapy is a modern variation of the Eastern European tradition of spending time in natural salt caves for health. Polish physician Dr. Boczkowski was the first to record the health benefits of salt caves in 1843, after observing the good health of salt miners in the Wieliczka salt mine in Krakow.  But you don't have to live near a salt cave to experience the benefits of salt therapy.

There are more salt therapy rooms popping up like the one pictured at The Salt Sanctuary in Johnson City, New York. And at home you can get a taste of it with a salt inhaler and beautiful Himalayan salt lamps that release negative ions, improving the quality of the air at home.
