Losing Weight At Canyon Ranch Lenox

Follow me on:

chocolate mousseI went on a week-long spa visit to Lenox, Massachusetts -- two nights at Cranwell Resort and four nights at  Canyon Ranch Lenox -- and got a nice surprise when I got home.   My primary goal was to further the healing process from my brother's death due to gun violence.   I wanted to rest, so one yoga or qi gong class a day was plenty.

I wanted to feel deeply nurtured, so I enjoyed the healthful, delicious food. I "indulged" and ordered dessert twice a day, like this fabulous chocolate mousse that is just 110 calories per (small) serving. A couple of times I even had two desserts a meal! It felt like I ate way more at Canyon Ranch than I do at home. So I was surprised when I got on the scale at home and found I had lost three pounds.

I learned in the lectures at Canyon Ranch Lenox that even though I eat healthy foods, I'm not eating enough early in the day. I basically have a great, filling smoothie in the late morning and snack on almonds. By the time evening comes, I'm verging on ravenous! I eat too much in the evening. In the morning I'm not hungry, and the pattern starts all over again.

Going to Canyon Ranch gave me a chance to reset that pattern, and I'm hopeful the weight loss will continue. In the weeks after my brother was shot last July, I went on a serious comfort food program while I was in Oklahoma -- "I'll have the french fries AND the hot fudge sundae" -- and I packed on the pounds.

At Canyon Ranch Lenox, I was also inspired by how food can be so satisfying and delicious, and still good for you. Canyon Ranch has put many of its recipes up on its website, and I encourage you to check it out for inspiration.

Hey would you mind letting me know which webhost you’re utilizing? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 completely different browsers and I
must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most.
Can you suggest a good hosting provider at a honest price?
Kudos, I appreciate it!
