Skin care professionals who give you facials are called estheticians. During a facial they will -- and should -- ask you about your skin routine so that they can find out what you are doing right or wrong, and help you make improvements.
At the end of the facial, they may give you a list of the products they used and sometimes samples. Feel free to take the samples home and see if you like the products before you buy.
If you like the products but can't afford to buy them all at once, ask the esthetician which are the most important to buy first. You can also upgrade gradually by replacing whatever you have at home that is about to finish.
Estheticians make commissions on what they sell, but they shouldn't use high-pressure techniques. Your facial should be relaxing, not a sales pitch.
The products they recommend may be waiting on the counter for you when you pay. Consider that it's just a convenience, and don't feel obligated to buy anything you don't want.
