(Apr. 17, 2002) - The Golden Door Spa at The Boulders, the newest addition to this premier resort, is offering a Spa Spectacular package designed to accommodate guests seeking summer solace.  The 33,000-square foot Golden Door Spa is an idyllic retreat located in the Sonoran foothills of Arizona which couples the Zen-like ambiance of the original Golden Door in Escondido, Calif. with the Southwestern influence of The Boulders. 

The Spa Spectacular package allows guests to experience two invigorating 50-minute spa treatments per casita during their stay at the award-winning resort.  Available May 27 through Sept. 7, 2002, the Spa Spectacular package is value priced at $319.00 per night for single or double occupancy plus taxes and spa gratuities, saving guests an average of $50.00.  The package includes luxurious accommodations in a casita and is available Sunday through Thursday.  Rates are exclusive of tax and service charges and are subject to availability.

Spa goers can choose from an array of pampering Golden Door treatments such as the signature Native American-inspired wraps and therapies that combine natural ingredients with Native American traditions to soothe and center the mind, body and spirit.  Also available are Ayurvedic body treatments that incorporate 5,000-year old East Indian health philosophies which aid in balancing the entire body.  In addition, a variety of wellness therapies assist with long-term goals such as toning and slimming the body and enhancing the skin.  Both men and women can benefit from the customized facials and skin care treatments offered at the Golden Door Spa.  Between treatments, guests can participate in wellness lectures and fitness classes at the Golden Door Spa's fitness center or participate in outdoor activities such as rock climbing, night vision excursions, mountain biking and scenic guided hikes.  For contemplative guests, the Spa's signature labyrinth can serve as a "path to tranquility."  Additional features include a hydrotherapy tub for detoxification, a shiatsu room for ancient Japanese massage, classrooms for wellness and nutrition, a Yoga studio, an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi and a full-service salon.
