About Sprinks
Sprinks are text ads that appear on the bottom of each of the 4,000+ Spa Site pages. Here are helpful things to know about Sprinks:
- The advertiser is required to have a web site.
- The advertiser is required to place a minimum of $50 by credit card in a secure Sprinks account.
- The advertiser places a bid for how much it will pay each time a viewer clicks on its ad.
- The advertiser only pays when the ad is clicked on.
- Only Sprinks with bids of $.20 or greater appear on the Spa Site.
- Only Sprinks with the top five bids will appear on the Spa Site.
- Sprinks on the Spa Site occasionally appear as banner ads at the top of the site's pages.
- Top Sprinks occasionally appear in the Spa Site newsletter.
How to Place a Sponsored Link (Sprinks) text ad on spas.about.com, the Spa Site
1. Go to https://sprinks.about.com/signup/create_user.htm?pc=abt_spas2. Create a user name and password 6-20 characters.
3. Click CONTINUE TO STEP TWO button.

4. Enter up to 200 different keywords, separated by commas. (example: spa, spas, massage, massages, facial, facials, hydrotherapy, etc.)

5. Click on the SKIP KEYWORDS AND CREATE CONTENTSPRINKS button.
Important
Note!!
If you click on the SUBMIT
KEYWORDS & ADD LISTING DETAILS
button, your
ad will not appear on the spas.about.com
pages!
It will appear only when your keyword is entered in Search.

6. Under Channels (the first column), scroll down and click on Travel.
7. Click on the VIEW RELATED SECTIONS button.

8. Under Sections (the second column), scroll down and click on Spas.

A. If you want your ad to appear on each of the 4,000+ pages of spas.about.com:
a. Click on the SELECT SECTION button.
b. Click on the SAVE SELECTED TOPICS & ADD DETAILS button.
This Screen appears:
c. Enter the Title, Description, URL and the Bid (amount you will pay each time your ad is clicked on) of your ad.
d. If you want to have the top bid, click on the MAKE MY LISTING #1 button.
e. Click on the SAVE LISTINGS & CONTINUE TO THE CONFIRM PAGE button.
f. Edit ad, if desired, by clicking on the EDIT button.
g. Click on the SAVE LISTINGS & ENTER BILLING INFORMATION button.
h. Enter Billing information then click CONFIRM YOUR ORDER button.
