This is the third Spa Site feature focusing on resorts that offer both spas and winter sports - downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, snowmobiling, sledding, etc. This week features Mountain Green Ski & Golf Resort in Killington, Vermont.

Mountain Green Ski & Golf Resort is situated at the base of Killington which posts the longest ski season in the East, opening mid-October and closing sometime in June and offering 212 trails and 95 miles of skiing and riding for all ability levels. There are 33 lifts including 6 high-speed express quads, and the Skyeship, the world's fastest and first-heated eight passenger lift.

Mountain Green Resort offers 216 condominiums which range in size from spacious, yet cozy studios to four-bedroom suites. Each features a large balcony, fireplace with free firewood, color TV, VCR, fully equipped kitchen, linens, hairdryer, coffee maker, and telephones with free local calls. The professional staff is ready to serve you 24 hours a day.

As a guest of the resort, you receive membership to the full-service health spa which is open November 22, 1997 - April 12, 1998 (Later if there's snow!), seven days a week l0am-10pm. The spa includes a 54-foot heated indoor lap pool, eucalyptus steam room, dry Finnish sauna, and a hydro-Jacuzzi. The weight room has Keiser resistance training equipment, free-weights, Pro Elite 4 in I Olympic weight benches, a Paramount back/abdominal combo machine, Keiser pneumatic machines (9 pieces), and dumbbells (5lbs. to 60 lbs.). The new cariovascular room features 2 Schwinn Air-Dyne bikes, 3 Trotter treadmills, 2 Precore steppers, 1 Precore EFX stepper, and 1 Tectrix Bike Max-Recumbent. There are free lockers and towel service. The pro-shop has men's and women's bathing suits & workout gear. For an additional fee you can schedule a massage with one of the certified massage therapists and play racquetball or wallyball.
