The first two sections of the book contain spa listings. At the end of each of these sections is a list of the spas in the section. This would be better in the front of the book to use as table of contents or at the end of the book as an index. The spa descriptions, apparently provided by the spas, range from 4 to 20 lines and tend to be general. Too few spas provide specific information about their facilities and treatments to consider this book an "ultimate" guide to spas throughout California as the book is promoted. However, use of the spa coupons will pay for the $20.26 cost of the book many times over assuming you have access to this selection of spas. (Cost = $16.99 book + $2.00 shipping + $1.27 tax for CA residents). Most coupons are 10% or 15% off the regular price of a spa service or total of spa services performed in the same appointment. Other discounts at various spas include $5 off a one hour (minimum) massage or facial, $69 for a 1 1/2 hour massage with deep back therapy,  $85 for a 45 min facial and a 45 min massage, $59.95 for a one hour massage, $74.95 for a 1 1/2 hour massage, and a free pack of private label body products. A few discounts are for new clients only, a few are for specific treatments only, and a few are good only on specific days of the week. None are valid with any other discount or promotion. If you're looking for a book of discount coupons for spas in California, this is the book for you. If you're looking for detailed information about a specific California spa's facilities or treatments, keep looking.
