Tui Na Massage
Tui
Na, or “push and pull” in Mandarin, is a combination of acupressure and
massage. According to traditional Chinese medical practices, poor blood and “chi”
circulation are the causes of most illness. Thus, the 2,000 year old massage
focuses on specific pain sites and is used for treating musculo-skeletal and
chronic stress related disorders.
Ba Guan Therapy
Vacuum
Suction Cupping technique, it can improve blood circulation and create a balance
in the body’s energy force. The process involves passing a flame over the
inside of a glass cup and then cupping it over the affected area. The pressure
inside the cup helps to reduce pain. Overtime, it will improve illnesses such as
rheumatism, coldness in the body and joint pain.
Gua Sha Therapy
Gua
Sha is a technique which uses pressure and friction to the skin, thereby
stimulating connective tissue affecting the internal organs. Where the flow of
blood is constricted and circulation is bad, Gua Sha works very effectively to
release blood trapped in peripheral capillaries and improve blood circulation.
Any pain, spasm or tightness in muscles is immediately relieved by this new

Sirodhara (Herbal oil bath for head)
A
classic treatment using a stream of warm oil dripped onto the forehead for 45
minutes after a scalp is massage, Sirodhara is perfect to relieve stress and
calm the mind and body. It is especially effective for those experiencing
anxiety, insomnia, depression and stress in general. Through enabling a natural
expansion of one’s consciousness, it leads to the experience of a natural
state of bliss.
General Herbal Body Massage
Designed
to balance body, mind and spirit, this herbal treatment begins with a scalp
massage followed by a rhythmic body massage with herbal oil or herbal cream to
increase blood circulation. As it is gently detoxifying, it enhances immunity

Njavarakizhy (Rice bolus massage)
Herbal
powder is massage of the body with special rice called "Ngavara"
prepared in an herbal decoction tied in a muslin cloth and made into a bolus.
This is made warm by placing in hot milk, before it is applied to the body. The
treatment is rejuvenating, nourishing and strengthening, and prepares one to
withstand the stress and strain of a modern lifestyle. Of particular benefits to

Udwarthanam (Powder Massage)
A
deep and dry rough massage of 45 minutes using herbal powder, this treatment is
recommended for a course of 14 treatments for better results. In particular, it
has been shown to result in overall slimming of the body. Other benefits which
come from this treatment include flexibility to joints, the strengthening of
muscles and the refreshment of the body while imparting a good colouration to

Vetever Scrub Bath
Vetever
scrub bath includes massage with vetever cream for 10 minutes and then the body
is scrubbed with vetever root. Herbal powder is applied over the body followed
by the Vetever bath. Aside from exfloliating dead skin cells, this treatment

Thai massage is a medicinal massage practiced by the Thai Buddhist monks for
some 2,500 years. It combines acupressure points with assisted yoga stretching

indeed unique in that the therapist uses his/her thumbs, hands, elbows, knees
and feet in the stretching motions. In so doing, the massage directs toxins out

extracts, pure beewax and crushed herbs (sage, St. John’s wort and camomile),

Pilates is used for rehabilitation purposes, as well as for improving
performance and correcting muscle imbalances. Its benefits include improved
postures and flexibility, increased muscle strength and length, firmer and
flatter stomachs, better centre and breathing control, greater resistance to
injury and overall body toning. The central principles of Pilates are
relaxation, concentration, co-ordination, alignment, breathing and centering.
Yuan-Ji
Dance
This
keep fit program is originated from China. It is a combination of Tai Chi,
QiGong, Martial Arts and Chinese Cultural Dance. Research has shown tremendous
positive effects on people who practice this routine daily. There are 4 parts to
this program; this is practiced with pre-recorded Chinese instrumental music
with Mandarin vocal instructions. Though it has newly arrived in Singapore since
Jan 2000, it has been very popular and accepted by Singaporeans.
