Situated on 23 acres of tropical landscape, the villa-style Wyndham Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale recently completed a $15 million total property renovation. It had previously been the Registry Resort & Spa and the Bonaventure Resort & Spa before that. It now features:

two PGA-managed championship golf courses, the par 72 East Course, the site of the prestigious Dixie Amateur Golf Championship, featuring a 20-foot waterfall guarding the front portion of the 160-yard third hole and the West Course, a par 70 course,

15 professional clay tennis courts,

five freeform tropical swimming pools,

45,000 square feet of dedicated, flexible meeting space including two amphitheaters, three ballrooms, and over 25 individual meeting rooms,

and four restaurants from casual to five-star quality.

Each of the 496 guest rooms, including 96 suites, has a screened terrace and wet bar as well as voice mail, data ports, coffee makers, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers and Bath & Body Works® room amenities for guest convenience. Also offered it the Wyndham Kids Klub supervised children's activities.

The 31,000 square-foot Spa offers:

Gender-specific locker rooms, saunas, steam rooms, Swiss needle showers, outdoor whirlpools, swimming pools and sun deck.
Co-ed cardio room with treadmills, Stair Masters, recumbent bikes, stationary bikes and computerized rowers.
Co-ed weight room featuring a full circuit of Keiser weight machines, free weights, a Gravitron and additional treadmills and bikes.

Day programs range from the $99 half day Renewal (50 min. Swedish Massage or Deep Cleansing Facial, Choice of Herbal Wrap, Pedicure, Aromatherapy Bath, or Hairstyling, and 1 Standard Fitness Class) to the $249 full day The Perfect Day (50 min Swedish Massage, Deep Cleansing Facial, Herbal Wrap or Hairstyling, Loofah Body Treatment or Manicure/Pedicure, Spa Cuisine Lunch, and 2 Standard Fitness Classes). Or you can create your own personalized spa treatment package ranging from the $250 Sampler to the $750 Experience by selecting the treatments you prefer.

Overnight packages include the Spa Classic, 3 Night InSPAration, and 7 night Ultimate Spa Experience. The Golfanatic Getaway offers something for the spa enthusiast and the golfer.

FITNESS The Wyndham Spa offers the latest in aerobic, conditioning and water exercise classes as well as a complete circuit of the most advanced Keiser equipment. Exercise programs are tailored for beginner, intermediate and advanced participants. Sample classes include: Reebok Body Walk, Step & Slide Workshop, Cardio Bum, Tai Chi, Yoga, Water Aerobics, Below-the-Belt, Up-in-Arms, Weight Training Class, BoxAerobics, and Spinning, one of the latest trends in aerobic conditioning. Body composition analysis, personalized nutrition profiles, and personal training are available.

RENEWAL A wide array of pampering treatments are available that will leave the body relaxed and gleaming. Aromatherapy, facials (Fango, Deep Cleansing, BPS Ultimate with Fresh Cells, Aromatherapy, Spirulina/AHA, Men's), loofah body treatments, herbal wraps, thermal back treatments, massage therapy (Swedish, aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Sports, Thermal Mineral), and Kur treatments are available as a la carte services for Day Spa members or as part of a complete spa program for extended-stay guests. A number of stress management programs are also offered, as well as, hypnotherapy and take home programs with custom-made audio tapes.

BEAUTY The Wyndham Spa features a full-service beauty salon. Guests can schedule appointments for hair cuts and styling, manicures and pedicures, glycolic services, depilatory waxing and Kerstin Skin Care Treatments.

SPA DINING Horizons, the spa dining room, offers a menu of carefully prepared and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. More than just low calorie food, the cuisine is a careful orchestration by our chef and nutritionist that results in a truly exciting culinary experience from Maine Lobster to Cuban-style beans to Florida Key Lime pie. Each menu item lists calorie, fat gram and sodium content. Recipes are available for at-home use.
