The Spa The 17,000 square foot Spa at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club opened February, 2001. It is next to the golf course and club house, across the street from the hotel and beach. The multi-story structure offers views of the golf course and water. On the first floor, there is a spa shop and fitness facility with both cardiovascular and strength training equipment and specialized classes such as yoga, tai chi, meditation, aerobics, circuit training, toning and stretch, and fitness walks. On the third floor, there is a reception area, separate men's and women's locker rooms, relaxation rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and whirlpool baths. There are five massage rooms, two hydrotherapy rooms (one hydro bath, one Vichy shower), two facial rooms, and full service beauty salon. The spa offers a wide variety of treatments (listed below). According to Kate Keating, Director of Spa and Retail, the spa will soon offer sea-themed thallasotherapy treatments and therapies also. I had an Aromatherapy Massage. Octavia was a very intuitive massage therapist. She asked what needed attention. I said shoulders and back are always in need of help. She selected Oil Lady Aromatherapy Blend #2, a local product containing geranium, cypress, clary sage, lavender, and rose maroc. She said it would help balance my second chackra and provide yin energy. Once she started working on my back, she found it necessary to climb on the table and stand above me in order to provide the necessary leverage and pressure. It felt wonderful! She gave equal attention to arms, legs, feet, hands and face. A truly memorable massage. Music in the Spa: Path of the Heart by Max Highstein The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is situated on 125 acres and offers rooms in six separate buildings. 276 guest rooms (double-double or king) feature balconies overlooking the golf course or the Gulf of Mexico, cable TV, in-room movies, refrigerators, personal shopper's service, dataports, iron/ironing board, large closets, in-room safes, security key cards, climate control, two telephones, voicemail, and hair dryers. 42 one-bedroom suites have a separate living room, dining area, and complete kitchen with microwave and refrigerator in addition to the amenities listed for the guest rooms. There are lots of activities to keep you busy when not at the spa: seven miles of beach, beachfront pool, sailing, windsurfing, paddleboating, kayaking, biking, tennis (6 Har-Tru courts), and golf (18-hole PGA championship par 72 golf course). This is a family-oriented hotel and it offers the complementary Beach Klub 4 Kids daily from 9 am - 3 pm for children ages 5-12. Swimming, arts and crafts, beach walks, movies, sandcastle building, kickball, wiffleball, pillow polo, yolf (yard golf), parachute games, egg throws, water balloon tosses, shaving cram tournaments, chocolate pudding wallows, and alligator wrestling (inflatable species) are available year-round. A "kids night out" with dinner, movie and games is available Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30-9 pm for a nominal charge. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is filled with over 5,000 orchids grown and maintained in the Orchid House.
