Ceres, The Village where Griselda Hill Pottery® is located. Wemyss® (pronounced "Weems") Ware was first produced in Fife, Scotland in 1882. The original factory closed in 1932, but in 1985, Wemyss® Ware was revived by the Griselda Hill Pottery®. It is made and hand-painted in Fife by skilled craftspeople and is on sale at the Ceres shop.

Beautifully hand-painted Wemyss® Ware cats, pigs, and other pottery in bright, cheerful colors have a unique character. The originals are highly collectable. The Cat Figures are the most well-known.
