I did not stay at Ladera Resort when I was in St. Lucia. I did, however, stop there for lunch after my sightseeing trip to Diamond Botanical Gardens, Mineral Baths, and Waterfall and the natural springs and drive-in volcano at Sulphur Springs. Dasheene, Ladera's excellent open-air restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea 1100 feet below is not to be missed. The catch of the day, King Fish, was fabulous. After lunch, I had a quick tour of the resort. Ladera has 6 villas and 19 suites which all have an open wall on the west side looking out on private plunge or garden pools and the dramatic view beyond. The buildings are situated so that all rooms have complete privacy - a perfect romantic retreat. Ladera does not have a spa, but has made arrangements with a local therapist to provide in-room beauty therapy, massage and health services (see treatment menu below). Frankly, I can't think of a better setting for a massage or any treatment. Here is a quick tour of the resort...
