October's Condé Nast Traveller (the UK version) provides the results this year's survey of the top 100 hotels, islands, holiday destinations, car rental companies, cruise lines, Spas, cities, tour operators, airlines, and airports. Reader's Travel Awards questionnaires were inserted in copies of the May 2000 issue of Conde Nast Traveller distributed in the UK which generated answers to produce the third annual "Best of the Best" List. Criteria by which the spas were judged are listed below:
- Location
- Ambience/Decor
- Service/Staff
- Standard/Comfort of Accommodations
- Range of Treatments
- Food/Restaurants
- Facilities/Equipment
- Value for Money
- Environmental Friendliness
