We decided to celebrate my husband's 40-something birthday with the Couples Vacation, an Integrated Experience Spa Package at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa in Farmington, Pennsylvania. I was excited. I had been there a year ago with my daughter and was anxious for my husband to experience one of my favorite spas and see what I was talking about when I raved about the Clodaugh Feng Shui design. We went to our weekend anticipating a quiet, solitary, romantic interlude. I'm not sure why when I reread the package description. We ended up having an action-packed, rip-roaring weekend with six other couples and hardly had time to enjoy our beautiful Château Lafayette room. 

Woodlands Spa Director, Patricia Schneider, and Fitness Director, Tom Smith, led our group though an incredible number of challenging and fun activities designed to "reconnect and rekindle" and " grab both him and her and bring them back to the magic of that first kiss". It was an interesting mix of spa and fitness/adventure.
