Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa is an 80-acre, lavish Victorian style resort set on 1000 feet of beach on Florida's Southwest Coast. Overlooking San Carlos Bay and Sanibel and Captiva Islands, there are 320 hotel rooms, suites and condominiums. The resort's Web site is very thorough, providing all the information you could possibly want including maps, directions and online reservations.
If tennis is your thing, then you'll feel right at home here. Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, home to the 1989 and 1992 Davis Cup national tournament, offers 13 lighted clay and composition tennis courts. Group or individual instruction are available.
The 40,000 square foot world-class European spa and fitness facility offers the latest in health, nutrition, beauty, and fitness. The facility includes an 1,800 square foot aerobics studio, indoor lap and aquacise pool, Cybex(tm), Icarian(tm), and Keiser(tm) training equipment, free weights, 2 racquet ball courts, Trotter(tm) Treadmills, StairMasters(tm), LifeRowers(tm), LifeCycles(tm), Schwin Air Dyne(tm), Betar, whirlpools, steam baths, and a beauty salon. Services offered include waxing, reflexology, sports massage, manicure, pedicure, paraffin treatment, aromatherapy scalp massage, herbal wrap, sea exfoliating scrub, algae paraffin facial, marine antioxidant treatment, Swedish massage, therapeutic massage, fitness evaluation, and the list goes on and on. Spa services are available a la carte and in half day, full day, and overnight packages.
There are a number of different overnight packages available including the 3 day / 2 night Spa Discovery. This features a luxurious waterview hotel room or two-bedroom/two-bath full service condominium with balcony overlooking Sanibel and Captiva Islands, a welcome gift, one hour tennis court time, spa service charges, daily spa experience with unlimited use of all spa facilities and exercise classes, and 5 Spa Service Points. Spa Service Points can be used for a long list of spa services some of which are reflexology, manicure, herbal wrap, mango salt glo (1 point each), nutrition counseling, glycolic facial, Swedish Massage, personal training (2 points each), and a four layer facial (3 points). Additional tennis and spa services are available at 10% discount. Prices vary depending on the time of year and type of accommodation. Other packages include a 4 day / 3 night Ultimate Spa Pursuit and a 5 day / 4 night Classic Spa Escape.
For dining, there is the Promenade Cafe open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring gourmet light fare, the Courtside Sports Bar & Grill with a casual dinner menu and 26 screens of sports entertainment, and the Snackerrie featuring poolside grilling. A variety of meal plans are available.
To enjoy the water, the resort offers a marina with 19 slips, a fishing pier, power boat, waverunner, sailboat and kayak rentals, a champagne sunset cruise, a cruise to shell Sanibel Island, charter deep sea fishing, backwater charter fishing, charter sailing, tall ship sailing, and much, much more.
Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa offers a Kid's Klub that is designed to ensure 5-12 year-olds have a great time. Activities include nature hikes, swim parties, and arts & crafts. It runs from 10am to 4pm all year and includes lunch, a T-shirt and souvenirs. Special activities are offered Friday and Saturday evenings.
