Guide Review
Greta Breedlove encourages the reader to enjoy the process of creating the herbal treatments as much as having the treatments. About a third of the book is devoted preparation - where to find the ingredients, what to look for when buying herbs, and explaining their properties (what part is used, cosmetic properties, where it grows and what treatments it is appropriate for). The equipment list is substantial but nothing a well-stocked kitchen shouldn't have. Then the recipes start - hair treatments and color, eye creams, facial treatments for various skin types, massage oils (accompanied by basic instructions for use), body scrubs, body wrap, herbal baths, nail cream, hand treatments, tooth powder, sunscreen and much more.
