The MGM Grand Spa in Las Vegas is not as big and showy as some of the newer spas on the Strip. But thats not necessarily bad! MGM Grand Spa was state of the art and huge at 30,000 square feet when it opened in 1998. Now it has a downright cozy feel compared to newer Las Vegas spas. And that human scale can be comforting.
The decor in the MGM Grand Spa uses lots of earth and water elements, with big chaise lounges for resting before or after your treatment. Services include the usual array of massages, facials, body scrubs, but MGM Grand Spa is best known for its Spa Ritual Experiences, 100-minute services that take you on a journey.
Dreaming Ritual is inspired by Australian Aboriginal healing techniques, and takes place in one of the spa suites. It starts with a smudging ceremony and includes a foot treatment, body exfoliation, body mask with pure Australian mud, and a penetrating mud scalp treatment.
After rinsing it all off in a special shower, you get a massage with Australian oils and relax with a cup of lemon myrtle tea. You will feel great, but your hair will need styling. For that, theres Cristophe Salon.
MGM Grand Spa has 30 treatment rooms, two saunas, two steam rooms, two whirlpools, two relaxation lounges, two VIP rooms, and a fitness center. MGM Grand Spa is open ONLY TO HOTEL GUESTS Friday through Sunday. Non-guests are welcome Mon.-Thurs.
MGM Grand Hotel opened in 1993 and has four 30-story towers with 5,044 guest rooms, including 751 suites. Its best-known restaurants are Joël Robuchon and Craftsteak by Tom Colicchio. You can also take in KÀ, the non-stop action, eye-popping Cirque du Soleil show that combines acrobatic performances, martial arts, puppetry, multimedia and pyrotechnics.
